The basic idea sounds very similar to what Knowledge Networks has been doing for a number of years now, except that KN's panel is created via RDD telephone interviewing and the Krosnick idea would have people sampled and contacted initially face-to-face. Respondents stay on the KN panel in exchange for doing about one survey per week.
